Semi-Finals Team of the Week

It's time to reveal the Semi-Finals Team of the Week, with mostly representatives from your 2026 Grand Finalists Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity following a dramatic weekend of Betfred Super League Play-Off action.

The Wolves have six players featured following their hard-fought 12-14 success at Leeds Rhinos, while Trinity also dominate with six named after their stunning 6-33 victory over League Leaders' Shield winners Wigan Warriors.

There is also one inclusion from the Rhinos.

On the wing, veteran Ryan Hall earns a place after his try-scoring contribution for Leeds in defeat and another experienced performance.

It was to be Wire's night though, as they edged their opponents in a gripping contest at AMT Headingley.

Toby King takes a Team of the Week spot, as he enjoyed a strong night in defence and attack, producing one try assist, 138 metres and three tackle busts.

Teenage half-back Ewan Irwin occupies the scrum-half position after handling the occasion brilliantly. His composure, game management and match-winning penalty goal proved decisive in sending Warrington through to the Theatre of Dreams.

At hooker, Danny Walker was immense in the middle, leading the defensive effort with 31 tackles while providing his usual energy and intensity around the ruck.

Then, there’s Luke Yates, who powered over for a try and added 113 metres, 28 tackles and three tackle busts in a strong display.

In the second row, James Bentley is selected after scoring Warrington's opening try and finishing with 30 tackles in a wholehearted performance against his former club.

Completing the the Wolves line-up is loose forward is stalwart Ben Currie, whose leadership and work ethic were central to Warrington's victory.

Currie produced a colossal 51 tackles alongside 82 metres to help guide the Wolves into their first Grand Final since 2018.

On to Trinity, who produced one of the most memorable performances in recent Super League history to secure a maiden Grand Final appearance.

At full-back, Max Jowitt earns selection after another influential display. Jowitt recorded two try assists, kicked six goals and added 99 metres and three tackle busts as he played a key role guiding his hometown club to Old Trafford.

Joining him in the outside backs are teammates Corey Hall and Tom Johnstone. Hall crossed for a try, supplied an assist and ran for 130 metres, while Johnstone was outstanding on the wing with a brace of tries, 129 metres, five tackle busts and two clean breaks.

In the halves, Jake Trueman once again pulled the strings superbly. The playmaker registered a try assist, made 20 tackles and produced 14 kicks in general play as Trinity controlled the contest in the second half.

Completing Wakefield's contingent in the pack are Ky Rodwell and Isaiah Vagana, with the rest of their pack arguably unlucky to miss out. Rodwell powered over for a crucial try and finished with 101 metres and 21 tackles, while Vagana's work-rate was immense as he tallied 104 metres, 24 tackles and two offloads in another tireless display.

Both sides will now meet in the 2026 Betfred Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, where either Warrington or Wakefield will become just the sixth different club to lift the Super League trophy.
